Why it is not good idea for using laser cutting machine to cut aluminum? Here we will try to explain in 3 points:
1st, the Effect of the cutting
2nd, the cutting speed
3rd, the production costs (here referred production costs are mainly the life loss of equipment).
Let us see cutting quality first. Due to Aluminum is a highly reflective material, Laser cutting machine is not able to process thick aluminum material. What is more, aluminum material cannot resist high temperature while Laser Cutting Machine will make a high temperature, if using laser cutting machine to cut aluminum material, the material is prone to burr, it is difficult to get the ideal cutting effect;
Let us see cutting speed then. If laser cutting machine’s cutting speed is too fast, then the material will be easy to produce burr, while slow cutting speed will make the aluminum material crack.
The last reason is Production costs. Though Laser cutting machine working costs are low, and even much lower than the other cutting machine, the aluminum material cut by laser cutting machine laser have more serious damage, and will greatly reduce the life of the laser. Final cost will be high due to the loss of the machine and the production.
So using laser cutting machine to cut the aluminum, not only the effect is not ideal, efficiency will be low and cost will be high. We suggest that plasma cutting machine is much better to cut aluminum material.
